We always love it when people are excited about the Antelope Audio products they welcome in their studios. The most recent Zen Tour unboxing video comes all the way from France.
Here’s our absolutely favorite compact desktop interface being unboxed by Fabrice Chantôme, Mathieu Diffort and Manon Blind at the lovely Studio 7b.
For its size Zen Tour features an outstanding variety of connectivity options and a more than generous mic preamp set. With 4 XLR/TRS inputs at the rear and 4 TRS Hi-Z inputs on the front, it allows artists and engineers to record any type of mics and instruments with the signature Antelope Audio fidelity, rock solid clocking and conversion. Zen Tour comes with its own USB cable and external power supply and is easily installed on any OS or Windows-based computer.
The unit also offers two stereo monitoring outputs, 8 analog outs via DB25 and additional digital I/O on SPDIF and ADAT. The interface also rocks two individual headphone outs and two transformer reamp outs. Control Zen Tour via the flexible software control panel with a revolutionary routing matrix or access its features via the hi-res front panel touchscreen and multifunctional rotary knob.
Among the main strengths of the interface is the constantly-growing library of real-time AFX. Zen Tour gives access to authentically modeled vintage EQs and compressors which can be used both during recording and as send effects for post-production. In the FPGA FX library of Zen Tour you will find vintage preamps, noise gate, analog tape recorder, iconic guitar and bass amps plus cabinets, and Antelope Audio’s very own Auraverb reverb.
