Mobile Recording Session with Zen Tour Synergy Core
With the Zen Tour Synergy Core as a centerpiece, Ivo Sotirov (@ivo.sotirov) had the perfect go-to weapon for a mobile recording session. Taking place at a community center in Hackney, London the Fireball Session (@fireballsessions) featured British DJ & drummer MckNasty (@mcknasty_official) who brought his unlimited energy to the track ‘Wonderful’. The group jam also featured Ben Muralt (bass), Charlie Allen (guitar), Luke Smith (keys), and Gabrielle Pribetti (saxophone).
Storing immense processing power and enough connectivity options to cover the needs of the small band, the interface allowed the engineer to bring the studio sound he is used to along with him. The ADAT I/O allows him to add more preamps and the interface quickly acquires rackmount-like capabilities by being able to record 16 channels simultaneously. Ivo opted to record the bass guitar and keyboard directly into the audio interface through the direct inputs and later reamp the guitar with Charlie’s own preamp. Setting up additional outputs for the headphone mixes for the artists was done through the DSUB-25 line output.
