AES is always tons of fun as we manage to catch up with all our friends and endorsers. This year on our booth we managed to interview Grammy Award-winning producer Paul “Echo” Irizarry who you might already recognize as a huge Antelope Audio fan.

For over 15 years now, Paul “Echo” Irizarry has been working with mainstream artists on the Latin and European market. He’s rocking an enviable portfolio of clients among which you’ll find artists like Ricky Martin, Pitbull, London Symphony Orchestra, Tego, Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls), Alek Syntek, Paulina Rubio, Tempo and so much more. The most recent result of his busy schedule is another Grammy nomination for a track he did with regular collaborator Daddy Yankee.

“There are many portable units, but the most complete one is the Zen Tour”

It seems Echo has successfully incorporated Zen Tour to his work, especially whenever he has to record out of the comfort of his main studio. With its extended mic pres count and a quick access to a generous selected of FPGA FX models of vintage EQs, compressors and whatnot, Zen Tour is basically a hi-end studio in a tiny box. Carrying the signature Antelope Audio sound and conversion this compact desktop interface allows producers and recordists to do their job without compromising any aspect of their workflow and most importantly – retain a top level of sound quality.

Enjoy the interview!
